This OECD report examines the co-ordination between labour market, skill and economic development strategies at the regional and local level in New Zealand. It contains a regional case study on the Bay of Plenty region.

A final OECD cross-country comparative report looking at these issues across 11 member countries will be published in mid 2008. It will contain policy recommendations and best practice advice.

New Zealand’s participation in this project is jointly led, supported and funded by the Department of Labour, Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Economic Development.
