A literature review: Prevention and possibilities, a focus on children and youth

This review explores prevention in relation to mental health and addiction and highlights the challenges around sustainability and funding. The literature review provides an overview of prevention in mental health with a focus on financial and funding implications.  It highlights the importance of prevention as an activity that occurs before a problem or disease occurs rather than as a reaction to a fully developed problem.  This report clarifies the definition of prevention and identifies social determinants and funding issues that impact on prevention activities.
