New research explores the issue of bullying in the Wellington suburbs of Newtown, Berhampore, Kilbirnie and Strathmore. Skylight Trust talked with 65 kids and 6 adults to find out what sort of bullying they saw, who they went to for support, and what could be done about bullying. The survey found that:
- Bystander action is needed;
- Young people seek support from peers before adults;
- Building young people's self-confidence and self-worth is key.
