The Gaming and Betting Activities Survey 2006/07: New Zealanders' knowledge, views and experiences of gambling and gambling-related harm is part of the Ministry of Health's response to problem gambling.

The survey of almost 2000 people collects information about attitudes, knowledge, behaviours and protective practices in relation to gambling and gambling harm.

Purpose

The purpose of the survey is to evaluate the impact of public health activities, including the social marketing programme, and to inform the planning and funding of future public health services to prevent and minimise gambling harm.
